I received my BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and my Master’s in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I spent my first year after finishing my Master’s working at Star-Biscoe Elementary School (K-5) in Montgomery County. Before coming to South Elementary, I spent 6 years at Mooresville High School. My caseloads at the high school included 9th-11th grades and testing. I have been married to my husband for 6 years. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, scuba diving, traveling, and playing Sudoku puzzles. Recently, I have become very interested in photography. All of the photographs on the South Counseling site were taken by me.
