Our Mission: The Mooresville High School Counseling Department will provide a comprehensive and developmental school counseling program that addresses the academic, career, and personal/social growth of every child. School counselors, as part of the Mooresville Graded School District learning community, will facilitate the support system so that all secondary students have access to the tools that enable them to become responsible and productive citizens. As we specifically work to close the achievement gap that exists between various demographics, the Counseling Department will work to provide professional and ethical school counseling services every day. Our students will effectively manage future challenges and will be prepared to progress confidently in an ever-changing society.

Welcome to The Mooresville High School Counseling Department!

The counselors provide services for students in three categories: 1) college and career planning, 2) academic counseling, and 3) personal counseling. 

College and Career Planning
College and career planning is an important process that begins in grade 9 and continues through the end of the senior year. Both students and parents are provided with the tools to navigate the increasingly competitive and complicated college search process.

Academic Counseling
Our counselors assist students in choosing courses and monitor academic progress and extracurricular involvement.

Personal/Social Counseling
Our counselors meet with individual students and groups in a confidential setting to discuss any emotional, social, or academic concerns. The counselor is also a resource to parents and teachers for consultation.
